Welcome to Year 3!

As the children make the transition from KS1 to KS2, Year 3 is full of exciting, engaging and interesting learning that will support them on their journey through school. Please check our school social media pages to see some of the exciting learning that we do in school!

Homework

Homework goes home on a Monday and is collected in and marked the following Monday. This will be times tables, spellings and a maths or English based activity. Additionally, the children have access to various websites including TTRockstars.

Reading Books

The children are encouraged to read appropriate novels and non-fiction books regularly. They are given time 15 minutes each day to read at school and we aim for them to match this at home. They should record this in their school diary and aim to have this signed by a parent at least once a week. Reading records are collected in and checked every Monday.

General Reminders

• Our PE days are Monday and Thursday. Please ensure the children have the appropriate kit for each day. 

• The children will also need their own water bottle in school, which they have access to all day. Please make sure that they are clearly labelled.

Finally, If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us, either after school when collecting your child, on Class Dojo, or by arranging a more formal appointment with the school office.
